“In positive psychology, a flow state, also known colloquially as being in the zone, is the mental state in which a person performing some activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. In essence, flow is characterized by the complete absorption in what one does, and a resulting transformation in one's sense of time.” - Wikipedia “The flow state shares many characteristics with hyperfocus. However, hyperfocus is not always described in a positive light. Some examples include spending "too much" time playing video games or becoming pleasurably absorbed by one aspect of an assignment or task to the detriment of the overall assignment. In some cases, hyperfocus can "capture" a
person, perhaps causing them to appear unfocused or to start several projects, but complete few. Hyperfocus is often mentioned "in the context of autism, schizophrenia, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder- conditions that have consequences on attentional abilities."- Wikipedia

In this time of intolerance and turmoil, the only serenity I find
is through my visual language.
I am Indranil Nag, a self taught Visual Artist from the cultural coterie of Kolkata. My expressions are vividly colored by my impulses and the constant beating of endless loops of thoughts that are rescued by my visual palette.
I believe in the "flow" and continuously aspire to capture my spiritual idiosyncrasies with my camera.
“Groups of drummers go through a state of flow when they sense a
collective energy that drives the beat, something they refer to as getting into the
groove or entrainment. Likewise, drummers and bass guitarists often describe a state
of flow when they are feeling the down beat together as being in the pocket.” -

I am driven by the fear of loss and mediocrity.
I am content in my capacity to create, emulate and evanesce. However, my
audience and beloveds are sometimes not. They believe in constant
progressions.
Most often than not, I am labelled crazy, a maverick indeed. "He is a crazy fucker".
I appreciate. I wear it and become it and allow it to transcend from all my orifices
to "flow", within and beyond my visual spectacles.
I have lived rejections. I am anxious and tired. Yet I continue to sprung and leap,
to be accepted and loved. My desires have paved the way for my expressions.
“What is motion sickness? Motion sickness occurs when your brain can't make sense of
information sent from your eyes, ears and body. Lots of motion — in a car, airplane, boat, or even an amusement park ride — can make you feel queasy, clammy or sick to your stomach. Some people vomit. ” - Google

My very first photographs came to life at the age of 13, clicked of my sleeping sister. My family destroyed that photograph suspecting superstition. The incident kept burning within, giving birth to the visual storyteller I am today, 7 years later.
From the beginning of this quest, I tried to find my style. I found that impressionism is my form of expression. I love using my camera as a brush framing fleeting emotions that resonate with me as new, unexplored visual poetries.
THIS IS DISTURBANCE. BECAUSE WE LOVE TO RELIVE OUR EXPERIENCES,
STARVING FOR FAMILIARITY IN THE UNFAMILIAR EVERYDAY.
BUT ARE YOU TRULY HAPPY IN YOUR LIFE? OR IS THIS TOO, A HAZY ILLUSION?
